Learn how to make corn tortillas from scratch in a skillet, then complete the play with crock pot tacos de guisados – the #1 most practical tacos!
Participants will:
– Learn how to make corn tortillas with farm-fresh Roy’s Calais Flint Corn
– Harvest ingredients for tacos de guisados
– Eat the tortillas and tacos created
– Learn how to care for your skillet / comal
– Learn about the types of masa available at local markets and stores
– View clips from the “Taco Chronicles” documentary episode about Tacos de Guisados
– Learn about corn (maize), a plant with special significance in many Native American cultures
PARKING
Please park at 30 Doolittle Drive, near the apple orchard. If the parking lots are full, there is additional parking in the driveway of 26 Doolittle Drive or at the small lot across the street.
